The removal of 7 mature Beech trees has now been completed at St. Peter’s School, Clifton, York as part of a safety felling operation. To be re-planted with more suitable species for the long term treescape of the area. Rylands; having surveyed and maintained these trees for 40 years, decided the time had come to remove as Ktetzschmaria deusta ( Cinder fungus) had been found to be increasing around the bases. This fungus attacks the base & tree roots rendering them more liable to wind blow.
